McConalogue confirms project progress for Rosses and Arainn Mhór schools

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal T.D., Charlie McConalogue, confirmed today that the extension project for the Rosses Community School has received approval to proceed to tender and the project for Gairmscoil Mhic Diarmada has received approval to proceed to construction. Both projects are under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.

The Rosses project will consist of four classroom SEN base, a music room, a DCG room and a textiles room and the Arainn Mhór project will consist of one new art room.

The Minister commented “These confirmations are good news for the school communities in the Rosses and Arainn Mhór and will improve the offering and services of the schools.  I thank Minister Norma Foley for confirming the news and for the work of the principals, the staff, students and parents of the schools for progressing these projects. I thank Cllrs Noreen McGarvey for her continued hard work with the schools and the communities too.”
