McConalogue visits state-of-the-art Donegal maritime training centre

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, and Donegal T.D., Charlie McConalogue, recently met with Frankie and Noreen Veldman at their Errigal Training Centre in Falcarragh. The Centre was set up in 2020 and is Ireland’s only GWO (Global Wind Organisation) accredited training provider.

Commenting on his meeting, the Minister said “Donegal and the Northwest has significant offshore renewable energy potential and the establishment and success of the Errigal Training Centre reflects the benefits of the development of this potential. It was great to meet Frankie and Noreen and to see the tremendous facility they’ve built in Falcarragh. It is a fantastic example of creating employment in rural Ireland.”
